Versace SS 12 at MFW

Miuccia gave us cars, Donatella gave us creatures of the underworld. Star fish, sea horses and more embellished on clothes, were glistening and giving an amazing effect. It's needles to say the show was spectacular. The gowns were quite simple in cut, yet stunning thanks to their intricate detailing. Perfect for red carpet events.
But let's start at the beginning. There were great shorts, tops and jackets all covered in studs with the same theme. Versace got inspired by the sea and the result is fresh, sexy and oh so covetable. The colour palette consists of mainly white and gold, but also black and some pastel blue and yellow (not so big in Milan but it's still there).
Although there is lots of longer lengths when it comes to skirts and dresses, the tops are often cropped - a trend that seems to be big in Milan( see Prada and more), so there really is no excuse not to tone up. But if it's for clothes like this, it should be a good motivation. I loved the collection so much, I think it's fair to say it was one of my favourites this season so far. Can't wait for spring now and let's not forget there will be the Versace X H&M collaboration before (yay) but that's for another story.
Have a stylish day.
