Zara - my favourite high street shop

I wear a lot of black. But as soon as the sun starts coming out, I switch to lighter colours. I wear lot of whites and nudes. Nude is THE colour of this season. All the shades from toffee, to caramel and beyond. I saw this shop-window in Zara Covent Garden and it made me smile. I love the colours and the clothes! The summer is coming and you can feel it all around.

high street find of the week

As I mentioned few days ago, denim is HUGE this season. And it's a timeless fabric, because it never really goes out of fashion. So it's worth buying some pieces. I found this super cute playsuit in H&M, that is so easy to dress up or down. I've become a big big fan of H&M and they seem to be getting better by the day. This lovely little number is worth every penny, because it will see you through the summer and beyond. Just add some chunky boots and a straw hat for some festival chic or wedge sandals and a statement jewellery for a hot summer evening. Sorted.

Plus it's nearly the end of the month, meaning Olivia's blog is about to end. To me, she is real style inspiration and I advise you to check out all of her outfit in Today I'm wearing at Vogue.co.uk. I love how both outfits look smart yet casual. She always carries an amazing handbag and accessories. I envy quite a few of her statement necklaces.. Lilly Allen is definitely one to watch. And it seems, very soon you will be able to watch her own fashion programme on Channel 4. Long gone are the days, when she was singing Smile, wearing a very cute dress and trainers. Since quitting music earlier this year, she's been going from strengh to strengh. Campaigning for Chanel and performing on their catwalk must be one of the highlights! And now she's gonna star in a reality TV show, which will see her breaking into retail industry, showing us her becoming a shop owner. Due out early next year, it definitelly sounds interesting to watch and I wish her all the best. Watch this space for more info.

The festival season has officialy started. So far we were quite lucky and had some sunny day, so let's hope it's gonna last and we can enjoy hot summer. Summer full of barbeques, garden parties and of course festivals. This year I have decided it was time I finally attend some festival as well and chose a L.E.D. (London Electronic Dance Music festival). Can't wait and of course I'm going to report back to you about the most stylish looks. I looked for inspiration at Coachella festival in California. My favourite outfit was by gorgeous Victoria's Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio. She looked really effortless, loving the hat that keeps the sun from your face and the boots, just in case it may be raining and therefore muddy. Perfect for any weather, just add some chunky knitwear to keep you warm at night. What is your fail-safe festival outfit?

The countdown to Sex and The City 2 is in full swing and I can honestly tell you, I can not wait to watch it. I am looking forward to checking out all the outfits our four favourite New York gals will wear. There has been some speculations about the story lines and a leaked pictures from the set and it all sounds and looks very exciting. Here I picked some of my favourite looks from the series and a movie number one. Carrie Bradshaw is a great style inspiration. Bring on May 28th! Also I can't wait to see what is Sarah Jessica Parker going to wear to the London premier. Can it come any faster..

Denim is HUGE for spring/summer. Everywhere you look it's there. It's my favourite trend. First of all it never really goes out of fashion and it's just so versatile. This season you can go a bit crazy, because double denim is back. Plus it doesn't stop at clothes, there are lovely denim accessories all around as well. I just love this denim bag by Mango. The slouchy style is very now too, so you get more than one trends in one item. Plus for £30 it's a great way how to update your wardrobe, without breaking the bank. Perfect! fashion at the MET

There is something I am very excited about and I want to share it with you. This July, I'm going to New York for the first time and I can't wait. Apart from sightseeing which I love!, I am obviously looking forward to all the shopping I'm planning and also soaking up some culture as well. I'm glad to have found out, that at the time of my stay, there are two major fashion exhibitions going on. For those who may attend, I'll give you all the details and for those who will miss it, don't worry, I'll bring you all the highlights.
To mark the new relationship between the Brooklyn Museum and the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art(MET), The Brooklyn Museum presents and exhibition of some of the most renowed objects from its costume collection. Two exhibitons will run at the same time:
METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART:
American Woman: Fashioning and National beauty 2/5/10-15/8/10

BROOKLYN MUSEUM:
American High Style: Fashioning a National Collection 7/5/10-15/8/10

Both collections will look at the history of women's dressing and how it influenced the way american women dress today. So excited!

Good news for all fashionistas everywhere. If you're looking for amazing clothes, with individual style, but on a budget, look no further than diffusion line by Alice Temperley. Her main line Temperley London has been popular with celebrities and stylish people since its launch in 2000 and you can expect the same with this line. Alice by Temperly has already fans in the likes of Daisy Lowe and Amber Le Bon to name just a few and I'm sure the number we'll be growing by the day. I love the whole collection, that you can check at her website alicebytemperley.com, especially the blue stripy dress. And did I mention it's reasonably priced? I said before I am a big fan of diffusion lines, because they tend to be more funky and I am definitely fan of this one!

Let's talk about shoes againg. Shoes have become a very important accessory. And I can't say this enough, but women will never have too many shoes. It is very hard for me to go to any shoe shop(espcially during sales) and leave empty-handed. My favourite designer of the moment is Nicholas Kirkwood. The Central Saint Martin and Corwainers graduate was nominated for BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund Award and despite not winning I don't think he needs to worry about his future. Worn and loved by celebrities and fashionistas, he was even asked to design shoes for much anticipated film Alice in Wonderland, which was released earlier this year. His shoes are to die for and I wish him best of luck.

If you buy only one thing this week (and if money is no object), buy this beautiful necklace by Yves Saint Lauren at Net-a-porter.com. Even though I prefer silver accessories, gold is so great for warmer months. It will look great on tanned skin and will add a hint of colour. Wear with nudes, just add wedge sandals and stack some gold bangles and you're done.

Once the sun comes out like today, I just can't wait to shed all the extra layers of clothing and the same applies to shoes. Whilst out shopping, I found these cute wedge sandals from Office, that seem to be perfect for this transitional season. You can wear them now with socks (just look at Burberry for inspiration, where it was a huge trend) and later on its own. Plus the amazing colours will brighten up any wardrobe. Keep it simple though, they're perfect with the nude colours of the moment and the wedge will keep it comfy and casual.

The Easter is over, so the countdown for summer can officially begin. Well I've hoping for summer weather for quite some time now and planning my wardrobe. One thing I'm definitely gonna stock up on is maxidresses. I love them! They are so easy to wear. Just add some nice jewellery and flat sandals. My favourite style of any dress is bandeau as I think it's sexy without being too revealing. And for maxi dresses it's no different. I found these two fabulous numbers on ASOS.com. You may think they're too simple but with the right shoes and a statment necklace or stacked up bangles it'll look great. Plus the colours are very in this season. Now let's just hope for some hot days.

I love nautical for summer. It's so easy to wear. I especially love stripy tops that are very versatile. You can wear them with your favourite jeans or jeggings and just add ankle shoes for now and flat sandals later. Plus it's a trend that always comes back so even if you splurge on something, you can be assure that it'll be fashionable summer after summer. Tom Ford - lipstick range

Is there anything this man can't do? After a great success with his directorial debut with the film SINGLE MAN, he's returning to treating us ladies. This time it's with a collection of lipsticks called Private Blend Lipstick. It contains 12 richly pigmented shades and I can't wait to check them out. They will be available from April 23, from all Tom Ford Private Blend counters. Now I just hope he returns to designing womenswear. Good luck with everything my hero!
