This week I bought myself a little mid-week treat in form of Chanel nail polish. I can tell you, they are worth every penny. One coat is enough, it lasts well and dries quickly. What more to ask for? I went for a bit darker colour, which is quite unusual for me. I couldn't let go of neon yet, so I did one pink nail (ring finger) on each hand. What do you think?

Isabeli Fontana at Vogue Spain
Last night I couldn't sleep (regular occurence with me) and thought about fashion and my favourite super models. I asked myself who is my Number 1, but I could only come up with top 5. I have featured all of them quite a lot on my blog. If I see a nice editorial I like to share it with you. Before I'll give you my top 5 (in no particular order), let me tell you about this photoshoot for Vogue Spain February. It was styled by Alexi Lubomirski and stars the ever gorgeous Isabeli Fontana. The theme is Western, but makes me think of women like Barabella, Bridget Bardot and Ursula Andress (former bond girl) - proper pin-up, but fearless girls. I think Isabeli fits in well. What do you think?
And here is my top 5 supermodels, make sure you let me know yours.
1. Karolina Kurkova
2. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
3. Isabeli Fontana
4. Gisele Bundchen
5. Izabel Goulart

Jewelled Wednesday - statement necklace
I've been looking for a perfect statement necklace to add the final touch to my London Fashion Week outfits (yes I've been planning them already..). I've come across this great piece by ASOS and (by sheer coincidence) it's pink and kind of neon (huge trend for S/S), which just fits the bill perfectly. I think it'd be just as great in a different colour, but I would probably go for the pink anyway.. It's quite simple but interesting and it'll be a nice way to dress up a plain shirt or a dress. And it costs just £15! I'm hooked. You can buy it here.

Couture week
The Paris couture week is in full swing. So far we have seen some amazing collections. I am a big fan of couture, especially this time of year, as you can expect lot of Oscar-worthy gowns. And we have seen quite a few. Below are few of my favourte looks, but there were so many. I loved Givenchy for all the detailing and a lot of backless numbers. I think exposed back is very sexy without looking cheap. Giambattista Valli's collection was very feminine and so wearable. I want it all! Armani Prive was proper couture. I expect to see a lot of their gowns on the red carpet. Chanel was pretty, but not really couture, I thought. Saying that I am a big Karl Lagerfeld fan and love everything he does. Had it been RTW collection than it would be more appropriate. Apart from everything else, his jewelled tights were beautiful!

Vintage Sunday by Dior
To celebrate Paris Couture fashion week, I decided to dedicate today's Vintage Sunday to one of the original couturiers - Christian Dior, who would have celebrated his 107th birthday yesterday. I am intrigued to see the lates Dior couture show because, as we all know, they haven't named a new creative director yet. The last one (couture show) was a bit of a dissapointment and further proof John Galliano will be hard to replace. Ever the optimist (and a big Galliano fan) I am still hoping they are holding off replacing him, because they don't really want to replace him. Maybe they are waiting for him to get better, the media frenzy dying down and bringing him back. Who knows?
Anyway I'm sure the couture week will be amazing as always and I want to wish to the very talented Mr. Christian Dior belated happy birthday.
And I am going to finish today's post with a quote by the master himself:
"It's not money that make you well dressed, it's understanding style."

Stylish day out - top 3 exhibitions of 2012
This year is definitely THE year to live (or visit) London. I have loved it always, but 2012 is set to be the best year yet. There is so much going on, you're spoilt for choice how to spend your days off and I'm talking just about the exhibitions. The fashion industry, shopping, choice of restaurants... that would make a whole new article.
For now I've picked the top 3 exhibitions I think are a must-see. All fashion related. One better than the other. Bring it on.
(Christian Louboutin)
Believe it or not, the house of Christian Louboutin has celebrated 20 years of existence! To mark this anniversary, they recently released a book (coffee table must-have) and are doing lots of great promotions this year. There is an exhibition coming to Design museum and it is something (not only) every shoe lover will appreciate. You will be able to see the whole designing process of famous red soled beauties from drawing to finish and much more. See you there. 19/05 - 06/06
(image: courtesy of V&A museum)
V&A museum has been spoiling us recently. So many great exhibitions to visit. I am super exciting about two displays particularly, one of them being the Ballgowns: British Glamour since 1950. More than 60 designs will be on show, including pieces for social events such as private parties, royal balls, state occassions and many more.
You can expect work by Jonathan Saunders, Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, Giles Deacon and Erdem among others. Can May come any faster?
(Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's)
Last but definitely not least, is another exhibition at the V&A. They've only announced today, that this is happenning so I haven't got much information for you yet, but I will bring more as soon as I know. It will be called Hollywood costumes and will open this fall. It's an extensive collection of famous costumes of the big screen, including the famous dress of Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's, costumes of Jack Sparrow of the Pirates series and many more. Excited? I am!

Stylish nails - neon call
I have had a very positive feedback about my Glittery nails post. To be honest, I am kind of obsessed with my nails. I like making them looking pretty and had quite a lot of compliments on them over the years. So I decided to do a new regular post showing my manicure every week. What do you think? This week I went for neon pink nails, because I'm telling you now, the trend will be everywhere this summer. And I can't wait, so I put it on my nails for now. To make it more interesting, I painted one (ring finger) nail darker shade of pink. Both colours are by Barry M. I really like those nail polished, because despite being cheap, they last well, dry quick and have a good colour selection.

Bargain hunting Part 1 - Wardrobe Mistress
I tweeted last week about a dress that I found on two different websites at very different prices. It got me thinking. It really pays to shop around, as you can save yourself a lot of money. There are times when you don't have to be loyal and this is it. Yes you may spend more time searching, but with the money you save, you can maybe buy an extra item too :). Fortunately there are some sites that help with your search for a bargain and alo sites that "just" sell bargains. So I decided to run a feature over few coming days, introducing my fave ways to save money, but still buy great stuff.
Starting with Wardrobemistress.co.uk . When I was introduced to this by lovely Tanya at Push PR press day, I was hooked straight away. What the lady behind the site does, is a wardrobe detox for her clients and the stuff that's left unwanted, is then sold at the website. She does of course much more and you can read about it on the site. But for now let's concentrate on the treasures you can discover. If you're wondering, yes most of the stuff is pre-worn or used, but some of it very barely used and all is in good condition. The best bit is the amazing reductions. I'm talking Louboutin shoes for as low as £80. Unfortunately most of them too small for me, but I keep checking regularly, because new goods are arriving all the time. The handbag and shoes selection is absolutely incredible, as well as the clothes to be honest. It's kind of a "vintage shopping" from the comfort of your home. And much cheaper, actually. So if you like a good bargain, do check Wardrobe mistress now and don't forget to come back, for more features how to shop and save money.

Buy of the week - colourblocking dress
Colourblocking has been and continues to be a big trend. It's a great way to add colour into your wardrobe. Especially with this gorgeous dress by Diane Von Furstenberg. It's classic design make it a timeless piece, but the colour combination makes it ultra modern. It's subtle but so so chic!. I love it the fact that it's a great transitional piece. You can wear it now with opaque tights and a blazer and on it's on when the weather gets warmer. Result. Buy the yellow and/or red at Harrods.com, which do you prefer?

Glittery nails
You may remember my post about Butter London nail polishes (if not read it again here). Out of their massive selection I picked the gold glitter one and had lots of fun with it since then. Your hands tell a lot about you and your nails should always be well groomed. I love playing with different patterns and colours, creating interesting manicures. So here are few pictures of what I've been wearing lately. The good thing about glitter is, you can either go all over or just do a pattern. Do you like these? Which is your favourite? You can buy Butter London at Harvey Nichols or at their website.

Party feet by Sophie Gittins
I don't know how about you, but I can't wait for spring. Especially as today is such a lovely bright (cold) day in London. I can't wait to start shedding layers of clothing and wear sandals and open toe shoes. Seeing SS 12 shoe collection by Sophie Gittins got me even more excited. I want every style! This pair called Riviera is to die for. In two great colour combos, I dare you not to like at least one of them. You can read more about Sophie here next week.

Neon - the future is bright
I've got some great news for you my stylish readers. The future is bright! At least this spring summer in fashion. Remember me going on about yellow being everywhere on the catwalk during last fashion month? Well that wasn't the only colour that was going to be big. And by big I mean huge! It's neon! This trend keeps coming back ever since Christoper Kane interpreted it marvellously. I've done the hard work for you and found three great dresses in neon pink (what else?). There are in three budgets so there is something for everyone.
Of course one of them, the middle one, is by the man who started it all - Mr. Kane. I love the simplicity of that dress. It's very versatile and can be dressed up or down for many occasions. You can buy it at Matches for £655.
Number one - on the left - is by McQ by Alexander McQueen. I have seen it many websites, but the cheapest option was at Shopbop.com £182. Do shop around as you can save lots of money. Again it is simple but dressier. I love it. And it comes in orange too, if pink isn't your thing.
Last by not least - on the right - is a very dressy, evening option by Stella McCartney. For £1795 you can buy it at MyTheresa. I am also loving the clutch they styled it with, by the same designer. I have featured it on my blog before.
As you can see, with neon dresses, it's best to keep the rest simple. Neutral accessories and maybe a bit of gold jewellery is all you need. So how do you like this trend? Are you going to be sporting it?

Outfit inspirations - shorts in winter
Let's face it. The winter always seems never ending and long gone are the days of shorts and vest tops. But you don't have to give up shorts altogether. Add opaque tights and boots and they're a chic ensemble for many occasions. This is quite a casual take on the trend but they're great for evening too.
I'm playing this game, when I try to create outfit from one day's arrival at net-a-porter to ensure the freshest look and this is a last Friday's edition.
Top by Etro £460, shorts by Mulberry £250, coat cardigan by Ralph Lauren Black label £945, bag £790 and boots £835 both by Bottega Veneta, YSL cuff £365

Vintage Sunday
For my first Vintage Sunday of 2012, I decided to post something positive and cheerful. What better than a woman who is celebrating and obviously having a great time. And that's exactly my aim for this year. To have lots of fun and hopefully many reasons for celebration. I don't believe in new year's resolutions but I always look back at my year, reflect on the good and the bad and decide on ways how to eliminate the bad and have more good thing. My wish is to always improve myself as a person. Try to be the best I can be and this year the bit I want to concentrate the most on is my career. So far so good.
I am wishing you all wonderful year 2012, full of dreams that have become reality. Dream big!
What are your dreams/goals?
Have a stylish day and year.

Party feet by Michael Lewis
What can I say. I'm a classic kind of girl. And these gorgeous stilettos are a proof that classic is anything but boring. With a contemporary twist and signature sky high heels, I'm dying for these beauties by Michel Lewis. All in my favourite colours, it's hard to pick my favourite, but as a true Miss Pink, I'd say the ones in the middle. Taken out of Michael's SS 12 collection, there's many more to lust after. What do you think?

Stylish head to toe
Let's face it. Looking and feeling good is not just about the clothes and accessories (although it plays a big part). Your hair and make-up are just as important. I am very lucky to call one of MAC's make-up artists my friend and she always helps me to stock up on essentials (with a little discount). Here is what I bought this time:
I've been planning to try fake lashes for a while and MAC has an amazing selection. I picked No 3 as I like the fact that they look very natural. They open up your eyes and I can't wait to try them on. I also bought the Duo adhesive for them.
Generally my skin is in quite a good condition (I drink tons of water every day - it DOES make a difference) therefore I don't use foundation. I prefer using tinted moisturisers as they're much lighter allowing my skin to breathe. I'm rather pale, so went for medium shade. This is the first time I'm using MAC's tinted moisturiser and am excited to see what it's like. I heard many good comments about it. My other popular ones are by Lancome and Chanel.
I come out with occasional spots and hide them with a concealer (Laura Mercier should you ask). I used to apply it with hands or foundation brush but decided it was time to buy a concealer brush. MAC's brushes are made from the softest hair and feel nice on the skin. I also needed new blusher brush and my friend recommended this angled one No.168. Again, this is a new product for me, so will let you know how I find using it.
Last but not least, I bought a blusher in Style - (fitting name no?). This is my third already and I love it. It's a peachy colour and seems to go with everything and I sometimes use it as a bronzer too. It blends and lasts well and now I can't imagine not using it. I alternate with pink blusher but use this one most of the time.

Eva Herzigova in Marie Claire Spain
Few weeks ago, I put pictures of Eva Herzigova wearing Dolce and Gabanna on my FB page. It was taken from Marie Claire Spain editorial and here I am bringing you more pictures. Shot by David Roemer, Eva is also modelling the spring collections by the likes of Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci and Yves Saint Laurent. As you may know I like to bring Czech editorials or Czech models featured world wide because it always makes me feel proud. Herzigova is the original Wondebra girl, and in here she proves that many many years later, she still has it. See more pictures on my tumblr

Jewelled Wednesday - by Valentino
I know after the holidays the social scene tends to go quiet, but I'm sure there will be some parties on the horizon and this beautiful necklace by Valentino, will make sure you're the belle of the ball. Whether you decide to go pretty and femininne in the silver version or bold and daring in the black version, expect some heads turning. For all the right reasons. Perfect way to dress up bandeau dresses (my favourite). Available from Net-a-porter.com for £440 and made from Swarovski crystals, it's worth every penny.
