InstaMonday -NYE addition

What used to be It's an instagram life, an irregular feature, has become InstaMonday and as the name suggest you can expect it every Monday. I'll be looking at the previous week through instagram. There's few changes coming on the blog in the next year and I hope you'll like them.
Don't forget Life's too short, make every day special and have a great 2013!

Here's part of my NYE's outfit. See the whole look soon here.

One of my style resolutions for next year is to try new things out more often and wear even more sequins and glitter - there's never enough ;) what's your style resolution?

In 2013 I'm hoping to go back to NYC. It's my favourite city and I often reminisce about my holiday there. This is a picture we just got for our living room.

I feel super glamourous when I wear my (vintage) fur coat and in my opinion a day when you wear your favourite lipstick is a good day.
Have a stylish day and a year!

Glittery shoes and a favourite handbag

Since getting this pink YSL handbag in the summer, it's been used a lot. It's fair to say it's my favourite one, although I try not to play favourites with my bags. My glittery Jimmy Choo shoes are perfect for this time of year and have become my Holiday staple.
I am also wearing: H&M skirt and blouse (both old), Michael Kors watch, random bracelet and YSL Arty rings.
Nail polish: Chanel Rouge Noir.
Have a stylish day.

It's an instagram life #25

I am a self-confesses lipstick/lipgloss queen. This is only part of my extensive collection, which contains a lot of YSL, Chanel and Mac products (another one of my weaknesses is expensive make-up).
For autumn/winter I moved from my usual pink to everything berry. The Chanel nail polish is on repeat a lot. As is my glittery black/gold BarryM, which feels very festive and fitted perfectly when I was decorating the Christmas tree last week. Glitter decorations are a must.

Tis the season to wear sparkle. I like to add some with various garments, including my butterfly bracelet.
The party season is upon us, but don't forget to take a night off and relax. What better way than watching movies, having a glass of bubbly and a popcorn.
Have a stylish day.

Back to black

As much as I love wearing colour, especially in summer, I tend to go for darker colours in winter and wear a lot of black. Here I tried to break it up a bit with black and gold stripy J by Jasper Conran jumper and a pink beanie (for a very windy walk on the beach). I'm also wearing H&M skirt (old, with a customised slit), Michael Michael Kors coat and Mulberry Bayswater.
Have a stylish day.

Stripes and florals

As mentioned yesterday, I've been spending time by the seaside, hence my looks have been very low-maintenance (no hair-straighteners, very little make-up and jewellery). I stocked up on jumpers and that's what I've been mostly living in. This stripy one is by J by Jasper Conran. My skirt is by Zara, not worn since the summer when you could see it in this post, boots from Nine west (old) and Dior sunglasses.
I'm trying to be more adventurous with prints, here mixing stripes and florals. What do you think of the combo? Do you mix prints?
Have a stylish day.

It's an instagram life #24

I wouldn't be Miss Pink if I didn't fall with the above Valentino pumps in love at first sight. They're sold out in most sizes at Net-a-porter, yet mine is still available. At £580 they're way out of my budget, but a girl can dream hey :)
I've been spending last few days by English seaside (Bexhill-on-sea), where I had walks on the beach, time to read fashion magazines and I've been doing quite a lot of swimming, using jacuzzi, steam room/sauna and I'm already starting to feel like a new person! The swimsuit I picked up in a sale is by Frostfrench and I'm loving the floral print.

As much fun as I'm having in the countryside (wearing no make-up) I can't wait to glam up again. I use my DKNY make-up bag sometimes as a tiny clutch, YSL mascara is great as are their lip glosses which have amazing staying power. Chanel nail polishes are occasional treat. Just like was this Lanvin iPhone case. I first saw it a while ago, but before I decided to buy it, it got sold out. This time when I saw it back in stock I didn't hesitate a minute and bought it straight away. It arrived today and it's been bringing a smile on my face ever since.
Have a stylish day.

It's an instagram life #23

Like many other people, I'm feeling the mood for all thing burgundy - one of the biggest trends for autumn. My Chanel nail polish - Rouge Noir - fits the mood perfectly.
I'm the definite handbag girl and find the below quote from Coach Bond street store very true.
London is starting to look very Christmasy, with Oxford street light switched on last week.

I love gold nearly as pink. What an amazing colour. Can't wait for the party season and wear my Jimmy Choo wedges loads. My Michael Kors watch is an everyday essential and so is YSL bracelet.
Another quote, this time from Audrey Hepburn, doesn't need any comment. It says it all..
Have a stylish day.

It's an instagram life #22

It's no secret that I love anything YSL. I feel naked without my arty rings, love my bracelet, handbag and own quite a lot make-up too. Their Top secrets primer is my can't-live-without beauty product - worth every penny!

This week I attended 15th birthday party of ECOne jewellers. Cocktails and cupcakes were on the menu and it was a fun evening :)
Currently in my scent collection: all time favourite Chanel Chance, my scent for summer Dior Addict 2, and latest obsession Valentina by Valentino. What are your favourite perfumes? Do you switch scents between seasons?
The No chips ahead top coat by Essie is a life-safer. Do you agree?
Have a stylish day.

Tim Walker: storyteller - the exhibition

If you like fashion and read fashion magazines (and considering you're reading my blog the chances are high), you've probably come across Tim Walker photography. It's likely you're a fan too. His work has graced countless pages of Vogue.
Now you're in for a treat, as Somerset House has dedicated an exhibition to him. I went to see it yesterday and it's rather good. Very insightful and inspiring, you can expect not only loads of photographs, but also oversized props and more. It's free of charge and if you get a chance I would definitely recommend you go and see it.
Photography is not allowed, but I sneakily managed to take few pics with my iPhone (hence the poor quality).
Have a stylish day.

Hotel Missoni Edinburgh

As I mentioned yesterday, during our visit of Edinburgh, we stayed few nights in the Missoni Hotel. I can honestly say it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in and I stayed in quite a few. Not only it's super stylish, the attention to detail is second to none. From the amazing design, complimentary mini bar (which even contained designer diet coke) to the fluffy Missoni bath robes and lovely smelling toiletries, you're in for a treat.

The breakfast was not only delicious, but served with style like everything else. I could honestly fault nothing. You get free wifi (which surprisingly isn't free in many even more expensive hotels), lots of movies on demand and so much more. It's worth every penny.
The only thing that slightly upsets me it's the fact, that from what I've seen on their website, many rooms are full of pink and our room had none. I guess next time I have to try another one then ;)
Have a stylish day.

Highland fling

We couldn't get further away from Chelsea during our next getaway. We went all the way up north to Fort William - Scotland. The scenery was just breathtaking. We spent a relaxing week there, exploring the place.
But no matter where I am, I can't resist adding a pink lippy to my already massive collection.
I joined in in some local festivities, watching proper Scotsman playing the bag-pipes. I wore yet again my Valentino flats, Acne jeans, Mulberry Bayswater, Michael Kors leather jacket and Dior sunglasses.

From Fort William we drove three hours to Edinburgh. I couldn't get enough of the beautiful views on the way and fell in love with the scottish capital. For two nights we stayed in Waldorf Astoria (must be done) and then went to the Missoni hotel, which was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. More about that tomorrow.
I slept in some great beds. The one bellow was as good as it looked.
Have a stylish day.

More adventures plus LFW

During my adventures came the fashion month and even though I didn't do the whole London Fashion Week this season, I couldn't resist attending few events. Above is a dress I loved by Evmorfia.
LFW of course means full on make up. Here's few bits from my extensive collection.
Needles to say I've been wearing my Valentinos a lot. They seem to go so well with everything, including my Acne jeans.

When in Somerset House, I picked up a leaflet for the upcoming Valentino exhibition, which takes place there and starts in November. I can't wait to see it!
Also spending time in all these amazing hotels with numerous facilities I'd feel guilty not to take advantage. Hence I picked up a new sport. I have to admit I haven't been playing as much as I loved to, but I really enjoy tennis.
Have a stylish day.
