London Fashion Week day 4

Today has been a very exciting day. Lots of the big name designers had their shows on today, but unfotunately I didn't get to see any live. However I went to the live streaming of Burberry show at Picadilly Circus in London, which was full of very stylish people watching the show. I truly enjoyed it and Christopher Bailey again didn't dissapoint. The show was a star studded event as expected (spotted at front row: Alexa Chung, Mario Testino, Lily Donaldson, Anna Wintour and the list goes on..) and the collection another top one. I love him and his designs! Next season I definitely have to apply for a ticket. But at least I've got pictures for you live from Picadilly and I am going to fully report on the show tomorrow.
I also bumped into the very talented Felder Felder ladies today, who seem really busy, but agreed to have their picture taken. And there was loads more, including meeting Alexander Wang at Liberty. All about it tomorrow and upcoming days. Stay tuned :)
Have a stylish day.

Grace Coddington - a great inspiration

After watching The September Issue I, like many other people, fell in love with Grace Coddington. What a creative genius! I felt sorry for her when, Anna Wintour behaved like the devil who wears not only Prada. But you couldn't help but notice all the amazing work she does and felt really inspired. I am planning a photoshoot for my portfolio very soon and with my love for pearls and a lace all over the catwalks a decided to look back into the 20's. Which brings me back to Grace and her beautiful photoshoot for The September issue. I hope the shoot will go back and I will of course post some pictures later on.
Have a stylish day.

British Fashion Council Awards

Last night was the night that many awaited in anticipation. It was the night of the British Fashion Council Awards, and what an evening it was! Full of celebrities and fashionistas dressed up for the occasion. I was really eager to find out who won the special London 25 award I told you about last month. It was voted by public and it was a one-off award to celebrate the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week. Kate Moss was the winner, which I'm sure she deserves, as she's been a true fashion icon for years, flying the british flag with her style, that gets copied all over the world. She looked stunning on the night as well, living up to her reputation as a trend-setter.
Other winners included John Galliano for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design, Christopher Bailey as a Designer of the Year and so on. I was especially happy for Grace Coddington who won the Isabela Blow Award for Fashion Creator, which is given to a person, whose creativity has been a major inspiration and influence. She is incredibly creative and was the real star of the film September issue overshadowing Anna Wintour.
Have a stylish day.

My Current jean affair

Although I get periods when I'm more into dresses and leggins I am a jean girl through and through. I mean what's not to like? You can dress them up and dress them down and accessorized well, they're perfect for nearly every occasion(there are exceptions when only LBD will do!). Plus there are so many styles, cuts and shapes I dare you not to find the perfect fit! And the right pair will last you for years! I have and ongoing love affair with Diesel. Italian certainly know how to make clothes, and these jeans are so well made, comfy and look so cool! But I thought it was time to find something new. To get out of my comfort zone. The search is over. Thanks to CURRENT/ELLIOTT - the amarican label that's been causing headlines since it launched in July 2008. Pretty new label, but has already made its way into places like Selfridges and Harrods and many indpenedent boutiques. Found by stylist duo Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, you can see their love for original fashion and a bit of quirkiness. Just check out their website Currentelliott.com and see for yourself. American Vogue said (July 2008) ; "The most refreshing denim line to come out of LA's jean scene in a long, long time." And who am I to argue with Anna Wintour..
