Olivia Palermo - style inspiration

I couldn't run a style icons feature and not mention Olivia Palermo. Since appearing on TV screens and getting fans all over the world she's been fashion's darling. Currently starring in Mango campaign with her boyfriend and she recently confirmed to be getting her own TV show next year. How exciting! For her and for us. I can't get enough of her. Her style choices are amazing and she always looks so immaculate. Olivia knows how to put together an outfit, mixing designer, high street and vintage. Regular at fashion show's front row this chic girl gets inspired and inspires. Can't wait to see what her show is going to be like and look forward to watching what she's wearing.

My favourite pre-fall collection

I promised you two posts about my favourite designers and here is the second one. This time about Christopher Bailey. I'm not gonna show you many pre-fall collections, but all of his work is always so good I just can't help myself. I love every single piece. I could easily put all the pictures here (courtesy of style.com) but you can have a look there. I've tried my hardest to pick my favourite pieces although I would buy all if I could. There are some amazing dresses that can be worn day to night, amazingly cut trousers that will suit everyone and his signature trench coats with clever detailing. Dear Christopher you're spoiling us for choice. Burberry Prorsum never looked better!

Tom Ford is back!

I promised you two post today about two of my favourite designers and here is the first one. You know how much I love him and you can probably imagine how excited I was when I heard he returned to designing womenswear. His New York fashion week's show was full of anticipation and because he didn't allow any photographs being taken, we had to wait. I'm so grateful to W magazine who got the pictures and thanks to them I am bringing them to you. Modeled by the stunning Model of the Year Lara Stone, it is what you'd expect from Tom Ford. Uber-chic, sexy, sophisticated. I love everything about it.

My top five designers

Last night I couldn't sleep and I was thinking about... Fashion, naturally! About my blogs, you - my readers, what I wanna write about, and especially my favourite designers. Sometimes I've got quite a few post in my head ahead and sometimes I just improvise. Today I'm planning posts about two people whose work I admire the most (don't wanna reveal too much, you will see soon), but you could probably guess as I write about them a lot. So I decided to compile a list of my top five designers.
Number 1 is definitely Tom Ford, but the other four I share equal interest in. Therefor in random order as they came into my head are:
Christopher Bailey
Alexander McQueen
John Galliano
Karl Lagerfeld
All of course very talented and recognised for their excellent work and bespoke creativity. I love their work so much and they are the reason I am interested in fashion and excited to see season after season what they are bringing to us, their vision of beauty that I and many women all over the world are dying to wear. Well done to them all and let's hope they will keep us well dressed and more for many years to come ( sadly except the late Lee McQueen). Salute. Make sure you let me know who are your top five.

Timeless beauty - Audrey Hepburn

Today I've chosen a style icon that is timeless. The others may come and go but she will always be a style inspiration. Audrey Hepburn has been an epitome of chic and always will be. She gave her film characters that extra something, sex appeal without sexy clothes. No her style is subtle but appealing. Timeless elegance at it's best. Some of her iconic photos are still used as a source of an inspiration and recreated again and again for countless photoshoots. We can teach from her attention to detail, great use of jewellery and undestated dressing. Look at her and you will understand why I like timeless pieces like her. No matter how old the photos they will always look in.

As you probably know (I said this many times) I am a big big fan of jewellery. All of it. Today's post I decided to dedicate to statement necklaces as I've recently seen so many I loved. And it's not a coincidence they are all by master of beauty Oscar de La Renta. He knows how to design a stunning dress and he certainly knows how to design a beautiful necklace too. If money was no object I'd have them all. They are a great way to dress up a simple outfit and a perfect for the holiday season and beyond. Men's style by Brad Goreski

I realized I am overlooking men and their fashion and am ashamed. As a woman I am obviously more interested in women's fashion and it will always be the major subject of my blog, but I will try to write a bit more about men's style as well. And what a better time than my month of style icons. I picked a man whos style is great and could be a role model for many men. It is noone less than ex-assistant of Rachel Zoe Mr. Brad Goreski. He won million of fans for himself during his time on The Rachel Zoe Project and his personality and style are admirable. Brad finished his work for Rachel earlier this year, but I am sure he will continue doing well for himself. He is a big fan of well cut blazers, worn either in suits or with jeans, likes bow ties, isn't afraid of colour and push boundaries. His signature are geeky glasses that suit him so well. Brad Goreski is a handsome man and dresses really well and can get away with a lot. I love his passion for great shoes and bags as well. I picked few of his cool outfits.
