Johanna Hehir

I've got one more post for you about wedding dresses! It may seem too much, but being surrounded by them for four days, had a big impact on me! I saved the best to the last. My favourite collection was by designer Johanna Hehir. She has been in the tough industry for 20 years, but I can tell you I've never met a lovelier person. She's really down to earth and obviously very talented. Not that I'm planning to get married any time soon, but I've picked my top choices for ceremony and reception, showing at the top, and the rest are few other beautiful examples from AW'10 collection, taken backstage at the show.
Have a stylish day.

For all the brides

I can't help, but talk a bit more about wedding dresses. As I was surrounded by them for the past four days, it would be difficult not to. I want to introduce you a designer who is like a John Galliano of the bridal world. His show was AMAZING! Quite theatrical, very extravagant, all big hair and loads of accessories. I loved it, but for a wedding dress I'd prefer something simpler. But the detailing and finishes were awesome. Ian Stuart is a genius! I'd recommend you check out his website ianstuart-bride.com. I am bringing you an official picture of one of his dresses for SS'10 and also some behind the scenes from the show. Enjoy.
Have a nice day.

Sex and the City premiers in New York

The wait is nearly over! The Sex and the City movie sequel premiered in New York yesterday and the fabulous opening in London is on thursday. I can't wait to see the movie, the dresses the stars will wear for the Europe's premier and of course all the costumes in the film. Here are the outfits the main actresses wore in New York. They all look stunning, but I especially love the colourfull outfits of Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis.
Have a stylish day.

The wedding show

gorgeous Martha in Alan Hannah
I've been fortunate enough to work backstage at yet another fashion show, this time A Wedding show at the Saatchi Gallery on London's King's Road for buyers and press. I've been surrounded by stunning models and wedding dresses and met some amazing designers (lovely Amanda Wakeley,Johanna Hehir and Susanne Neville among others). Suzanne Neville dressed quite a few famous brides and a wife of Gary Lieneker, stunning Danielle Bux was one of them and appeared as a guest celebrity model. I'm not planning getting married any time soon, but I am getting an idea of what I would look for in a wedding dress. If you have any questions, let me know.
Have a stylish day.

Martha in Amanda Wakeley like her womenswear, the wedding collection has simple silhouettes, with intricate detailing. The collection is quite minimalistic, yet stunning!

A day in a museum

As I said before, I like visiting museums, to soak in some culture and get inspired. There is such a great selection of museum and galleries in London, that the possibilities are endless. My favourite one is Victoria and Albert Museum, which I have visited again recently. I went to see the Grace Kelly exhibition I told you about before, and also the jewellery section on 2nd floor. It's a must see for every fashionista! They've got amazing selection of accessories dating back to ancient times and up to present. It's breath taking watching what people wore in the past and how the trends change. It's so so inspiring. Here are few of my favourite pieces. As you may know I am a big fan of statement necklaces.. Stunning!
Have a stylish day.

Karolina Kurkova

My model crush Karolina Kurkova is a real inspiration. I am a big fan of her, partially for patriotic reason, as she was born in Czech Republic like me, but also she has had an amazing career and is a role model. This Victoria's Secret Angel had a baby at the end of last year and was back into her modelling body straight away. She returned to catwalk at Louis Vuitton AW'10 collection, looking great. Lately she has been showing her style at The Met Ball in New York and of course at the Cannes Film Festival.

Dior Cruise

John Galliano didn't dissapoint. His Cruise collection, shown in Shanghai, was very chic, very Dior. There were some interesting retro pieces, loads of girly dresses with ruffle details and some beautiful red carpet gowns. He did what he does best, all with nice detailing. Bring on the summer! Here are few of my favourite looks.
Have a stylish day.
