Hair inspirations

You may know from reading my blog, that I am going to a wedding of one of my best friends soon and I couldn't be more excited. It's in less than three weeks now and I think about it a lot, planning my outfit, which is nearly ready, and now I've turned my attention to hair. My dress is asymmetric one-shouldered, so I'm looking at side buns and ponytails. Whether you're going to a wedding or any summer soiree, I think a side ponytail looks super girly and cute and suits everyone.
Upon this I have to admit a huge hair envy of Blake Lively. Up or down, her hair always looks gorgeous. For dressier occasions you can't beat sparkly accessories like hair bands or adding braids. Charlize Theron rocked with her Alice band at this year's Oscars.
I really can't wait to be all done up and share my look with you. Not long to go down.

Vintage Sunday - the 80s

Today's Vintage Sunday post was inspired by my recent obsession with the 80s. I was born in 1981 so lived through most of it, although I obviously don't remember it all. But there was something about that era no? I mostly love the music and have been listening to it a lot lately - hence this post. From Madonna, Michael Jackson through Eurythmics, U2 to Chicago, Reo Speedwagon and many more, didn't the 80s just sound great. I have to admit the clothes weren't that amazing but it's fun to look at it and reminisce.
I found this Vogue cover from the 80s with Linda Evangelista on the it. As mentioned many times before, she was one of my favourite 'supers'. Mainly for her constant hair changes. I love a bit of a change.
I love the colour combo and simplicity of the cover.
What was your 80s favourite model/singer/movie/song..? I think I'll get back to this again because as Calvin Harris says.. "I've got love for you if you were born in the 80s.." ;)

Zara latest - my picks

It is obvious from my outfit posts, tweets and general chit chat that I have a big love for Zara. To me it's definitely the best high-street shop and my first stop shopping destination. So today whilst it's raining outside (again) and I'm fortunate enough to be working from home, I refuse to leave the house and indulge in some online shopping therapy.
Here are my picks of latest delivery on Zara.com. The neon necklace even though it's new in, has sold out already! (I'm not surprised it's rather cool), but they promise to have more soon, so I included it anyway. What do you think of my choices?

It's an instagram life #15

On this (another) rainy day I can't help but reminisce about the lovely weather we had recently. I'm so glad I made the most of it and spent every possible time in the park. On one of those day I found a four leaf clover - now let's hope it'll bring me luck :)
I also saw a beautiful swan and tried a new summer salad at Wagamama. It's a bit salty for my liking but still yummy.

My latest nails - wearing Essie Lovey Dovey with little gems.
On rainy days when long walks in the park are not recommended, I went shopping instead. I bought gold ballerinas for running around and a neon necklace to brighten my outfits during grey days. I also bought earrings for the wedding. I think they'll be perfect with the green dress. (all latest buys are from H&M)

It's an instagram life #14 - trip to Newcastle with Chamilia

You may have read yesterday that I was taken on a trip to Newcastle on a Thursday courtesy of Chamilia jewellery. It was my first time visiting the city and I have to say I liked what I saw. We had a little tour around the centre and popped into few vintage stores. I wish we had more time to shop, as their vintage treasures were rather good and at a fraction of London's prices. I need to plan another visit soon. Later we were treated to yummy cocktails at what's meant to be one of the best bars in Newcastle - Barluga. The interior was gorgeous, as were the drinks.
I had a great time and finished the long day with lightning my newest candle called In love.

Designing Chamilia bracelet

Those who follow me on twitter may know, that yesterday I went for a day trip to Newcastle courtesy of Chamilia and lovely Push PR. Chamilia is a jewellery brand originally from US (where it's huge!) and has taken the UK by storm. They have an incredible selection of bracelets and necklaces and nearly 600 beads to choose from, to create a gem exactly like you wish.

The choices really are endless! After a careful consideration, I went for a mixed gold and silver bracelet and mostly beads with Swarowski crystals. I added A for Adela.. What do you think of my design?

After a yummy lunch and cupcakes in Chamilia's lime colour with beads, we went for a little tour of Newcastle and were treated to cocktails too! Talk about spoilt!
