Accessory of the week

Those who read my blog regularly will know, that I'm a big fan of statement jewelry. Be it necklaces or cocktail rings, they can transform a dull outfit in an instant! I treated myself this week with something very special to me from net-a-porter.com. This YSL arty ring sold out before and you can expect it happening again! I love the shape and of course the pink stone. I've been looking for the perfect pink ring for a while and I just fell in love with this one instantly. It goes well with my new hair colour and scored me quite a few compliments already. It's a win win situation. So if you only buy one thing this week, make it YSL arty ring. They come in different colours and I dare you not to find one you love. Or put it on your Christmas wish list to make it extra special.

Selfridges garage sale

Good news for bargain hunters. After much success the first time around, Selfridges are hosting another garage sale this sunday from 12 to 4 pm. And as you can imagine it's not like any other garage sale. With items donated by famous names from fashion, music, sport and entertainment it's an event not to be missed. Among stall holders you can see Yasmin Le Bon, Louise Redknapp, Trinny Woodhall to name just a few. You can guarantee to find some treasures for yourself or as a Christmas present and with all proceeds going to charity Mothers4Children, you don't have to feel guilty if you get a bit carried away. Doing good deed never felt better.

Fashionable day out

My last post was about staying in, but until for-mentioned DVD comes out there is plenty to do that's fashion related as well. For example a trip to Somerset House. The home of London Fashion Week exhibits is great place to visit any time of year but at the moment there's so much going on, you won't know what to do first. There is an exhibition of Matthew Williamson's work, that I'm going to see and can't wait. Williamson's work is quite mesmerizing and it fits well into this time of year. Expect a report from that soon, but if you get time the show is on until January 30th next year. Also you can see the Dior Illustrated: Rene Gruau and the Line of Beauty exhibition, that showcases groundbreaking artworks including original illustrations for Christian Dior Parfums, vintage perfume bottles, sketches and magazines, as well as a selection of Dior Haute Couture dresses personally chosen by John Galliano including a special dres designed by Galliano himself, in homage to Gruau on until 9 Jan 2011. More info here.
And if that's not enough the famous open air ice rink opens there on November 23rd, which is rather magical. Make sure you wrap up warm and loose yourself in what is my favourite sport. So plenty to do and all very exciting.

Fashion Night In

Great news for all fashionista! The wait is nearly over and the much anticipated Sex And The City 2 movie is coming out on DVD on November 29th. Many places are taking pre-orders already, so you can expect it will sell out quite quick. So be fast and snap up this film, which you can easily watch during the long grey winter months again and again. I imagine most of you have already seen it in the cinema, so I will not spoil anything saying, that you may cry but most definitely laugh a lot whilst watching it. The outfits are of course great and I am bringing you few pictures as a reminder of what to expect. I reported before on my favourite dress, which was Miranda's dress at a wedding. You can read again the post here. Her wardrobe was one of the best I thought! So go on get a few girlfriends together for a very fashionable night in.

Toy watch

I am a sucker for watches. I've got quite a selection and it is something that I'm not afraid to invest in. Good watch is a great accessory and if you look after it will last you a life time. I really like Toy watch selection. They've got so many colours, I find it hard to pick (obviously I can't afford them all... ). They are a great way to liven up your wardrobe. If you're afraid to wear colours, why not add a colourful watch. Simple! And looking at them when checking time will cheer you up. The design is quite classic, so they won't date. The only problem you may have is to which one to pick..

On my Christmas wish list

After watching yesterday's Mulberry show, I realized this handbag is just what I need... I am definitely putting that one on my Christmas wish list ;)
Not only I loooove the colour, I'm really into animal print at the moment, and it's a trend that's been around a lot plus is here to stay. The size is ideal to carry everything a woman needs, what more to ask for? Just to find it under the Christmas tree.
Have a stylish day.

London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week must be one of the most exciting time of year for all fashionistas. New York, Milan, Paris.. they're all great but there is something about London you won't find anywhere else. No wonder geniuses like Alexander McQueen and John Galliano all started here. Londoners like to be different, original, quirky, innovative when it comes to fashion.
That's why I was very excited to be a part of it. Yesterday I had the opportunity to work backstage at Mulberry show and did I enjoy it!! I met the creative director behind the label Emma Hill, who is lovely and really down to earth.
The collection was amazing! I loved the fresh minimal make-up and simple auburny hair. And of course the clothes and accessories!! The new purple animal print Alexa handbag is on my Christmas wishlist.
And the front row didn't dissapoint either. Among the stars attending were Olivia Palermo, Cat Deely, Alexa Chung to name just a few..
Here are some exclusive backstage pictures and you can see more on my facebook fanpage.
