Spring wardrobe staple: denim jacket

Spring is slowly on its way and it's definitely time to start transitioning our wardrobes into this wonderful season. For me the ultimate item in my Spring wardrobe (and beyond) is a denim jacket. It's such a great staple, can be worn countless of ways and gives a cool factor to any outfit. I believe you should have more than one and the good thing is there's a lot of options out there.
I bought one of mines on Ebay and like I mentioned here many times before, it was one of the best bargains ever. It's vintage Diesel, cost me under £10, fits perfectly and like you can see here I wore it several times already.
My other one is by DKNY jeans. It's darker shade and feels more sophisticated. I loved them both a lot, but feel like cheating and getting another one. What do you think?
Do you like denim jacket? What are your Spring staples?

Have a stylish day.

Bargain hunter's paradise

I've already mentioned Wardrobe mistress (catch up here), but there is many more ways how to save money. There are various sites, that are full of designer goodies at purse friendly prices. Today is mostly about worn and nearly new pieces, but I will write a post about good ways how to save money on new stuff  too - all year round sales or sites that compare prices.
I did a little research on second-hand online boutiques and was pleasantly surprised. I found many that are worth checking out.
Fashion Blood Hound has a great selection of designer clothes and accessories. I was especially pleased to see quite a few shoes in my size (41), which I'm often struggling to find. And they promise to source stuff for you, if you're after a particular item. Sounds great no?
Style sequel has some amazing pieces too. Everything is handpicked with a great sense for style. The prices are very good, the only downside is, that they are all ebay auctions, so there is no guarantee you win your desired piece.
Hardly ever worn it's selection is amazing! So many desirable items. Again you buy through ebay auction, but there is also but it now option. I really like the design of the site and they sell stuff for you too. Must-visit.
I definitely recommend them all it your after some high-end stuff, but are on the budget. Let me know if you find some great bargain and also if you know any amazing webite I forgot to mention.
And because Carrie Bradshaw was known for her mixture of old and new, who better to show for an inspiration.
Have a stylish day.

Bargain hunting Part 1 - Wardrobe Mistress

I tweeted last week about a dress that I found on two different websites at very different prices. It got me thinking. It really pays to shop around, as you can save yourself a lot of money. There are times when you don't have to be loyal and this is it. Yes you may spend more time searching, but with the money you save, you can maybe buy an extra item too :). Fortunately there are some sites that help with your search for a bargain and alo sites that "just" sell bargains. So I decided to run a feature over few coming days, introducing my fave ways to save money, but still buy great stuff.
Starting with Wardrobemistress.co.uk . When I was introduced to this by lovely Tanya at Push PR press day, I was hooked straight away. What the lady behind the site does, is a wardrobe detox for her clients and the stuff that's left unwanted, is then sold at the website. She does of course much more and you can read about it on the site. But for now let's concentrate on the treasures you can discover. If you're wondering, yes most of the stuff is pre-worn or used, but some of it very barely used and all is in good condition. The best bit is the amazing reductions. I'm talking Louboutin shoes for as low as £80. Unfortunately most of them too small for me, but I keep checking regularly, because new goods are arriving all the time. The handbag and shoes selection is absolutely incredible, as well as the clothes to be honest. It's kind of a "vintage shopping" from the comfort of your home. And much cheaper, actually. So if you like a good bargain, do check Wardrobe mistress now and don't forget to come back, for more features how to shop and save money.
Have a stylish day.

Vintage Sunday - Vanessa Paradis

Wow this week has gone quick and it's time for another Vintage Sunday post. This week has been exciting in the sense, that all the July issues of my favourite magazines have come out. I love reading new mags and always can't wait to see the covers. The one that has dissapointed me, is by Vogue. Vanessa Paradis is their cover star and is such a beauty, but this cover is just wrong. I don't really want to be saying bad things I'd rather concentrate on the positives. So here I'm bringing you a cover of Slovak magazine Eva with Vanessa Paradis, that I think is great. They let her beauty shine through, altough I'd prefer if they put less writing on. It's unnecessary. Now tell me. Which one do you prefer?
Have a stylish day.

the 90s are vintage - pop-up store in Selfridges

How fast the time goes by! Apparently now that we started a new decade, the 90's are officialy vintage. For me, that was the years when I discovered fashion, having been born in the early 80s.., and now we're going back to them. My favourite store Selfridges has opened a concept pop-up store and it's looking great. You can reminisce and rewind back to your fashion choices back then, and repeat some of them. I think the store is a great idea and quite obviously the designers think going back to the 90's is the way forward. Just check out the bum bags for example. They are huge for spring summer and will make you wish you never got rid of them in the first place. So check out Selfridges for inspiration and raid your wardrobe, cause you may be in for some pleasant surpise, whe you find some hidden gems left over from when they were in fashion the first time around.
Have a stylish day.
