The ultimate guide to pink lips II.

It is no secret I love pink lips (well most pink things...). I would even say it's my signature look. I occasionally wear red or nude but very rarely. I did my first guide to pink lips last year here,
but since then discovered new pink beauties which I fell in love with, so I thought I'd do an updated guide. Starting with my current favourite:
1. Nars  Satin lip pencil in YU
It's very bright pink. It's the first lip pencil I've tried from Nars and I fell in love with it and am thinking about buying more. It's super moisturising and has a nice shiny texture and feels nice on. Perfect for every day (if like me you like bright lips). It's very similar colour to Nars Schiap.

2. Nars Schiap
Again very bright (neon like) colour. Before purchasing the pencil, it was one lipstick I wore most but sometime feels too bright. It's down to the matte effect I think because even though it's similar shade, the pencil is not so in your face. Still one of my faves though. Perfect if you need to add a colour to your outfit.

3. Nars Funny face
This is a fuchsia shade (according to them) and it's quite dark. I prefer wearing this in the autumn but still other times too. It's a gorgeous colour and perfect if you want something not so bright. Like the other Nars lipstick it lasts well but feels a bit dry as it's from the matte collection.

4. Clinique Chubby stick in Watermelon
Very very light, more like a gloss. It's moisturizing and feels nice but doesn't last long. It's perfect when you're wearing heavy eye make up or if you prefect very natural look. Also nice layering over lipstick to give it a nice glow.

Have you tried any of these? What are your favourite pink lipsticks?

Have a stylish day.

Spring beauty

S

Clarins Double serum, Clinique City block, Bare Minerals Never say never lipstick, Nars eye shadow palette, Salvatore Ferragamo perfume, YSL nail polishes, YSL lipstick, Nars Illuminator

Spring is officially here! I couldn't be happier and all I think about is getting my wardrobe and make-up bag ready. I'm definitely re-purchasing Clarins double serum as I'm about to run out and it made a huge difference to my skin. I want to add the Clinique City block, because of my sensitive skin. You can never protect against sun too much. New polishes and lipsticks are always on my list and a new perfume for Spring is a must. Looking for a lighter scent.
What's on your make up wishlist for Spring?

Have a stylish day.

Highland fling

We couldn't get further away from Chelsea during our next getaway. We went all the way up north to Fort William - Scotland. The scenery was just breathtaking. We spent a relaxing week there, exploring the place.
But no matter where I am, I can't resist adding a pink lippy to my already massive collection.
I joined in in some local festivities, watching proper Scotsman playing the bag-pipes. I wore yet again my Valentino flats, Acne jeans, Mulberry Bayswater, Michael Kors leather jacket and Dior sunglasses.

From Fort William we drove three hours to Edinburgh. I couldn't get enough of the beautiful views on the way and fell in love with the scottish capital. For two nights we stayed in Waldorf Astoria (must be done) and then went to the Missoni hotel, which was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. More about that tomorrow.
I slept in some great beds. The one bellow was as good as it looked.
Have a stylish day.

New favourite mascara?

I am a big fan of MAC make-up. There's a reason why most make-up artists swear by it and it gets used backstage at probably every fashion show. All the products have great texture, last well and the selection of shades is incomparable.
I was given a sample of Clinique's High Definition mascara. First of all because all Clinique's products are hypoallergenic and fragrance free, which is good for my sensitive eyes and second of all simply because my mascara was running out. I got hooked straight away. It lasts well and doesn't irritate my eyes. It makes my lashes look fuller and do I dare say it, my eyes irresistible. It costs decent £14.50 and is available on high street. They say your eyes are the windows to your soul, so why not make them your best feature. With this mascara it's an easy task!
Have a stylish day.

beauty secrets

In the last month I've been looking at the last decade in fashion and style. And what would a great outfit be, if your face or your hair looked scruffy. The overall look is very important. A bad hair day can literally ruin your mood and even when wearing the most beautiful clothes, you would't feel great. That's why I am thankful for GHD hair straightening irons. GHD stands for Good Hair Day and it lives up its reputation. I can't imagine my life without it!
My perfume Number 1 is Chanel Chance. It's my timeless classic and it's a scent I will never get bored off. I may have times when I wear it less but it will always have a special place on my dressing table.
In the last ten years I've tried and tested many products, trying to find those that work for me and find my own style in make-up. Even in beauty the styles come and go, but you want something that you can put on and it will lift your mood. These are the top essential I couldn't live without:
Clinique Superbalanced make-up - nothing beats a good foundation
MAC - face and body foundation
YSL touch eclat (THE best thing for under eyes circles)
Lancome Hypnose drama - gives you amazing lashes
Benefit Posie tint - for highlighting your cheekbones and giving them nice pink blush
Lancome Juicytubes - making your lips look irresistable
