Outfit inspirations - high street edition

Today's outfit started all with the skirt, that I saw and liked instantly from Oasis. It's in metallic tweed fabric with bit of sequins to add a sparkle. Even though it's quite dressy, you can dress it down easily, making it a totally versatile item. I decided to make this a very affordable outfit and picked the rest at Topshop.com, proving you really don't have to spend a fortune to dress well. All these pieces are good separates that can be worn in many ways, mixed and matched with anything you already own.
Skirt Oasis £50
Blazer £58
Cashmere mix top £25
Ring £10
Sandals £100
Suede clutch £25

Vintage Sunday by Arthur Elgort

I decided to dedicate today's Vintage Sunday to Arthur Elgort. The born and bred New Yorker originally studied painting, but found it too lonely. He started assisting a photographer until he got his lucky break. He's known for his work for numerous Conde Nast Publications. His debut in 1971 British Vogue caused a sensation, especially his signature emphasis on movement and natural light. His book Model Manual (one of many he released) is full of pictures of the Supers from 1990 and should be in every photography and fashion lover's collection. If it isn't, for now, you can enjoy some of his work below.

Buy of the week

This faux fur jacket is THE buy of the week. It falls under so many this season's trends and simply looks gorgeous. First of all jewel tones and especially red shades are massive, also it's very 40s and resembles the very good AW Gucci collection (you can see the influence..). It's a perfect length and will go great with jeans as well as with a dressy outfit for the evening. And the best bit? It's just been reduced to £70! Buy it  here. I love it!

Party feet by Brian Atwood

This is an exclusive preview of Brian Atwood's resort collection as shared by him on twitter. This kind of heel is my absolute favourite at the moment, it's so sleek and elegant but very contemporary at the same time. The shape of the shoe is quite original and I like that very much. Perfect for the party season, featuring the colour of the moment -red! I can't wait to see the rest of the collection.

Introducing: Tramp in Disguise

If you like colourful, fun, youthful clothes, you need to know about Tramp in Disguise. That is, if you haven't heard about this label already. Founded in 2010 by Finnish born Sini Moilanen, who got a BA in fashion textile design from University of Brighton and masters in knitwear from Royal College of Art. She loves colour and uses a lot of digital print, which is one of her signature. Her edgy designs caught the eye of Vauxhall Fashion Scout with whom she showed in Paris and London. It's all very impressive for such a new label. I'm going to be interviewing with her soon to see what she's up to next. Stay tuned.

Outfit inspirations

Today's outfit for a cocktail party. As I'm known as Miss Pink (reason behind Miss Pink style) I felt the need to feature something pink (I wear something pink nearly every day). This dress will make sure you stand out from the crowd, but keep the rest simple. Nude accessories and gold jewellery will do the trick.
Preen dress £885
Miu Miu nude pumps £340
Tory Burch clutch £290
YSL ring £180
YSL cuff £325

Isabeli Fontana - A private affair

Isabeli Fontana and Indian actor Ranbir Kapoor are the stars of October cover shoot for Vogue India, called A Private Affair. Photographed by Marc Hom and styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, Isabeli looks stunning as always in this provocative editorial. I have to admit I am not very familiar with Vogue India, but I'll be definitely paying more attention after this daring photoshoot. Fontana is one of my favourite models and looks great as always.
