I hope you're enjoying the long weekend fashionistas. The weather has been playing with us and I don't know how about you, but I don't know how to dress these days! My solution to this umbrela/sunglasses weather (as I call it) is layers.
And maybe a nice clutch to give an edge to your outfit. How about these from House of Harlow collection by Nicole Richie. I love how she's playing with textures, using different materials and interesting patterns. The leopard print one especially will breathe a new lease of life to any old LBD. Which is your favorite?

Party feet - by House of Harlow
Nicole Richie has come a long way since her Simple life days. Now she is on a way to stardom as a designer for her two lines Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960. The latter especially has been on my radar, consisting of great jewellery range and even better shoe collection. This season I can't praise it enough and it was about time I mentioned it in Party feet. Here's my top 3, but see more and shop here. You can count on Selfridges to stock great shoes.

Nicole Richie - from geek to chic
Nicole Richie has come a long way. She covers February issue of Lucky magazine, looking better than ever. When the daughter of Lionel Richie appeared on TV starring alongside Paris Hilton in The Simple Life, she was quite fat (I feel bad for saying this), had a horrible taste in clothes and with all the hair extensions and too much fake tan, she couldn't been exactly described as a style icon. But that was all to change. She famously hooked up with stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe, who transformed her into a beautiful swan. Richie lost weight and even became too skinny at one point, but these days she just looks healthy, happy and glowing. Her style changed rapidly and she is famous for her boho look which suits her so much. Often seen in flowing dresses, loose tunics and pair of jeans, big hats and sunglasses, the improvement couldn't been more obvious. She turned her new found love for clothes into design and has two succesful labels Winter Kate - contemporary womenswear and House of Harlow 1960 - ethnic inspired jewellery. Both collections are easy to wear and affordable. Good business move!
Over the years she experimented with hair colour and few hair styles but now it seems she found herself and looks better than ever. Nicole recently got married and looked absolutely stunning in her Marchesa wedding dress. She has definitely become a style inspiration and I look forward to seeing her new collections, styles and what she gets up to. Good luck to her.

Rachel Zoe - stylist to the stars
Another day of December, another day for my pick of style icons. Today I decided to write about American one and not just any. Probably the biggest. I looooove Rachel Zoe. Her job is my dream job and I admire her passion for everything she does. Not only she is the sought after stylist to the biggest stars, she wrote a book Style A to Zoe, designed a series of very covetable collections for QVC, where she appears regularly, showing the items and how to style them and her TV show The Rachel Zoe project is watched all over the world.
Her style is very bohemian, all loose dresses, flared trousers and tons of jewellery. It suits her so well and I just love it all. I've picked few of her great outfits plus you can see more on my facebook page. She famously transformed Nicole Richie from geek to chic, and even more famously they fell out. Her clients include Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner, Demi Moore, Eva Mendes to name just a few. She has a great eye for detail and gets everyone on best dressed lists.
Last month Rachel announced that she is expecting her first child and I am sure, she will be the most stylish mum to be. And of course her baby will be well dressed too. I wish them both health and happiness.

return of boho?

Do you remember in the last decade the obsession with boho? It was the time when Sienna Miller was known more for her style than her acting career and Nicole Richie is still a boho ambassador. It came and gone, but it's set to return in the new decade. Look no further than Isabel Marant's SS '10 collection. Her bohemina clothes, casual dresses and slouchy trouser are so comfortable you won't want to take them off. I loved the whole show and am even more exicted for spring to come now, hoping to snap some beauties from this french designer. Worn by the likes of Rachel Bilson and Cameron Diaz I'd be in a good company.
Have a stylish day.
