Neon - the future is bright

I've got some great news for you my stylish readers. The future is bright! At least this spring summer in fashion. Remember me going on about yellow being everywhere on the catwalk during last fashion month? Well that wasn't the only colour that was going to be big. And by big I mean huge! It's neon! This trend keeps coming back ever since Christoper Kane interpreted it marvellously. I've done the hard work for you and found three great dresses in neon pink (what else?). There are in three budgets so there is something for everyone.
Of course one of them, the middle one, is by the man who started it all - Mr. Kane. I love the simplicity of that dress. It's very versatile and can be dressed up or down for many occasions. You can buy it at Matches for £655.
Number one - on the left - is by McQ by Alexander McQueen. I have seen it many websites, but the cheapest option was at Shopbop.com £182. Do shop around as you can save lots of money. Again it is simple but dressier. I love it. And it comes in orange too, if pink isn't your thing.
Last by not least - on the right - is a very dressy, evening option by Stella McCartney. For £1795 you can buy it at MyTheresa. I am also loving the clutch they styled it with, by the same designer. I have featured it on my blog before.
As you can see, with neon dresses, it's best to keep the rest simple. Neutral accessories and maybe a bit of gold jewellery is all you need. So how do you like this trend? Are you going to be sporting it?

Party feet - the sale edit

The sales are in full swing with further reductions at many places. Temptation central! There is no better time to expand your shoe collection with some designer gems, whilst saving some money too. That's why I dedicated today's Party feet post to sales. I've picked my favorites from net-a-porter but there were many more I liked. I felt like a child in a candy shop. Here's the full selection. Christopher Kane is definitely one to watch. Who could forget his gaboon dress worn by the likes of Rihanna and causing a stir on the fashion scene. Even his collection for Topshop is well sought after and he also designs Versus for Versace. So you can tell, he is not just an ordinary young talent. And his AW'10 show shows exactly why. Beautiful clothes, that are wearable but extraordinary. Strong and powerful. Here are my favourite looks.

style chameleon - Rihanna

As the decade comes to an end I am looking back again over the last year and wonder who really stood out in the style stakes. The one person who comes to my mind is someone who has been topping best-dressed lists over and over again and got thumbs up not only for her fashion choices but ever changing hairstyles. And it is noone else that Barbados born singer Rihanna. Known as well for her outfits as for her music, Rihanna isn't afraid to rock any trend. Photographed in Chrispher Kane Baboon dress, sporting impressive shoulders in Dolce and Gabbanna and wearing THAT jacket by Balmain, there probably isn't anything she hasn't tried. And does she do it well! Hell yeah! Her choices didn't go unnoticed when she was picked to front an ad campaig for Gucci. She usually wears one designer head to toe and I would prefer it if she gave it her own edge by mixing and matching but I have to admit she looks hot. Loving her Louis Vuitton outfit, especially that pink skirt.. Her wardrobe is boasting in expensive pieces that some people can only dream of. Good on her. In my eyes she isn't a style icon, because I'm not sure what her style is.. Catwalk looks straight after they hit the runway? But she is definitely an inspiration.
