Vintage Sunday - Karolina Kurkova for Chanel

Few things I've been thinking about lately have inspired today's Vintage Sunday post. My homeland and Chanel are often on my mind. I am counting down the days till my holiday in Czech republic, so I though I would yet again use some great campaign of a Czech model. Karolina Kurkova is my fave and how great does she look in the Chanel campaign photographed by the one and only Karl Lagerfeld for fall 2002. I sure do love black and white photography and everything about this shots is perfect. And have you noticed how Karolina hasn't aged a day in 10 years?!

It's an instagram life #4 - press days

Literally all of these pictures were taken at press days. Attending press days is always quite manic so you really appreciate it when you get a nice coffee like we did at Lulu Guinness or yummy Easter cake courtesy of Ella Dror PR, where I also discovered colourful shoes by Vivian Ying (party feet post to come). I loved the beautiful flower decorations at Hugo Boss and everything about Lollipop shoes - give me pink and animal print any day of the week.
I hope you've been enjoying some yummy cakes this weekend - Happy Easter!
Have a stylish day.

Party feet by Sergio Rossi

These Sergio Rossi pumps are perfect example of colour blocking. I mean how gorgeous are the three colours combined together. I need! Great for spring and beyond. What do you think?

Lulu Guinness AW 12

If you like anything traditionally British, Lulu Guinness is your label to go to. And you can't go more British than her AW 12/13 collection. Main themes feature Britannia, Book Club, Cameo and more. The typical lips are seen throughout the collection either in print or as clasps and lip clutches play a big part. Apart from the standard size there are oversized ones too, all in various style. I love the studded one and also animal print. Which is your favourite?

Jewelled Wednesday by Kyle Hopkins

Last weeks during press days I discovered gorgeous jewellery by Kyle Hopkins. Each piece is unique and the are all very covetable. I couldn't resist trying on the super-sized cuff - it felt so glamourous. I get attracted by all things shiny, and the pink gems and pearl inserts were added bonus.
Below are more pieces I was smitten by. One prettier than the other I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Check out Kyle Hopkins website for more stunning jewellery.

Liz Black AW 12/13

Liz Black is a Central St. Martins graduate who set up her own label in 2010. The fact that Lady Gaga wore few of her creations definitely put her on a fashion forefront, but behind her collections is a lot of hard work and great creative mind.
I had an opportunity to check out her AW 12/13 at a press day last week, and was smitten by her designs. Black's approach is quite minimalistic with great attention to detail. The clothes are structured/architectual and real stand-out pieces. You can see her signature abstract prints and a lot of black, but this time Liz introduced more colour. I loved all the blue and yellow pieces - the colours were blended amazingly. Her clothes are quite daring, but still elegant.
What do you think?

Ada Zanditon at London Fashion Week

I discovered Ada Zanditon's work a while ago and was excited to finally meet her in person at London Fashion Week in February. Talking to her you realize how passionate she is not only about designing clothes, but in the most eco way possible. Sustainable fashion is very imporant to her.
Ada Zanditon, born and based in London, is a first class graduate of the LCF and made her London Fashion Week catwalk debut in September 2009 with Vauxhall Fashion Scout's Ones to Watch. Since then it's been a rather succesful story.
Core to the brand philosophy is a sustainable business practise which Zanditon is constantly refining and seeking to improve. A wide range of sustainable textiles are sourced. She won the EFF & Fairtrade Foundation's, Innovation award which lead to some exciting Fairtrade collaborations.
Her work has been featured in countless of publications and worn by many celebrities and her star

continues to rise. She is stocked in high-end boutiques all over the world and judging by the AW 12/13 collection we can expect a lot more from her.
