New York Fashion Week - evening wear

Another day of New York Fashion Week behind us. I have to say quite a few shows were dissapointing for me. Especially Theyskens' Theory, which is always one of my favourites, I didn't rate much this time. And I didn't like Marc Jacobs at all (hate me now).
But on a positive note, yesterday was definitely good for evening wear. And I always concentrate on the positive. So today I'm bringing you some of my favourite looks. Reem Acra was one of faves. The embellishment and other detailing was superb. Donna Karan's show was surprising. It had a strong masculine influence, yet was very feminine. Very sexy, but sophisticated. Jenny Packham never dissapoints. No wonder it's popular by certain princess (Kate Middleton). Understated elegance, in gorgeous colour palette and interesting detailing. What is your favourite look?
Have a stylish day.

New York Fashion Week - my favourite looks so far

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and I am actually struggling to keep up with it. Today I thought, whether it's actually possible to keep up with it all. So many shows each day, for a month straight. Anyway I'm doing my best to check out as many collections as possible.
So far I've noticed lot of military influences, lot of black, white, gold and oxblood (all my favourites), lot of fur (yay!) and some great knitwear. Also prints are still big! They are everywhere. Looks like it's going to be a very stylish autumn! What are you favourite looks so far?
Have a stylish day.

Vintage Sunday - Whitney tribute

The world has gone to bed/has woken up (depending on your time zone) to a very sad news today. Whitney Houston died at the age of just 48. It's a tragic loss of a true star. I don't know one person who doesn't love at least on of her songs.
My first memory of Whitney is from the movie Bodyguard, so I decided to use this picture for her tribute. Don't we all love that film. Whitney had some amazing fashion moments, but I think above photo is perfect for Vintage Sunday. May she Rest In Peace.

Party feet - Jason Wu AW 12

I can't believe the fashion month is upon us again. Where has the time gone? I am obviously very excited and as much as I would love to attend all fashion weeks, I can't, but always make sure I watch some live streams and catch up on all the photos on style.com.
My favourite show from yesterday is without a doubt Jason Wu. The whole collection had a strong military influence, which I'm not normally a fan of, but it was done in such a chic way, that I loved every single outfit. It was very sexy and sophisticated. I loved all the high-waisted skirts, fur and embroidery. There were Asian prints and colour palette of mostly black, khaki, red and fuchsia.
I also loved the studded shoes and sandals and printed pumps. That's why I decided to use his show as part of Party feet post.
What do you think of the collection? Which was your favourite so far?
Have a stylish day.

Outfit inspiration - neon

This is an outfit I planned to wear to London fashion week. I started with the pink dress from ASOS that has a great neon shade, therefore is perfect to give a nod to the trend. However when I received it, the dress was too short for me and didn't fit properly :( Also the Zara pumps were too small (as I said this happens a lot - big feet), so I had to return both. But I like the outfit and wanted to share it with you anyway. I would of course accessorise it with my beloved YSL Arty ring and this YSL bracelet, which I haven't bought yet, but planning to later this month.
When you're wearing a statement dress, keep the rest simple. Would you wear this?

Product I can't live without

Beautywise the most money I invest in is my hair. I think it is so important. If my hair is not cooperating, no matter how dressed up I am, I never feel good. That's why I've been relying on Bed Head Afterparty for years. I was gutted, when they told me in one hair salon it'd been discontinued, but luckily and found loads on ebay.
It's a leave-in conditioner that can be used on any hair and will work miracles. It's super mosturising, but doesn't weight down the hair or make it greasy. It smells gorgeous and it's a perfect pick-me-up for your locks any time you feel it needs a bit of a lift or actually any time full stop. I've recomended it to many people and everyone loves it. I just bought quite a fews to last me, because seriously I can't imagine my life without it.
Have a stylish day.

Jewelled Wednesday - by Dannijo

I do apologise in advance, because in the upcoming days/weeks I'll be talking about London Fashion Week A LOT. and not just the London one obviously.. Like I said (and made it pretty obvious I think) it's all I've been thinking about lately. Not just planning my schedule, but mostly the outfits. So after I bought quite a few new clothes (never enough), I started focusing on accessories - jewellery in particular. Which sync perfectly with my Jewelled Wednesday's post.
I've been looking for a great cuff for quite a while actually and fell head over heals over Dannijo's selection. These hand made beauties are made by too sisters - Dannielle and Jodie Snyder, who founded the label in 2008. Their different personalities and aesthetics are combined in the brand's DNA. The signature style has bohemian, rocker vibe, but is sophisticated and timeless. They are self-taught jewellery makers and started with selling their pieces in local boutiques, but quickly grew in popularity. These days they have huge celebrity following. They are inspiring entrepreneurs as well as talented designers.
Although this post was going to be about cuffs, I couldn't help, but include couple of rings in bottom right corner. So pretty!
Check out Dannijo's official website.  which ships internationally, in UK you can find them at Net-a-porter or My-wardrobe among others.
Have a stylish day.
