Vintage Sunday

Probably the biggest news in fashion this week has been Christophe Decarnin. I looked back at his years there on Wednesday. If you missed it read it again here. I thought it was appropriate to remember the original Balmain in today's Vintage Sunday. Decarnin's collections were all about big shoulders, perfectly cut pants and so on, but Pierre Balmain was mostly known for his gorgeous gowns. Just look at this one from 1961. Simple, sexy, Parisian chic are just few words coming to mind. It will be interesting to see who the new creative director will be and what direction he (or she) will take. I can't wait to see it.

Party feet - block heels round 2

I told you recently about my new obsession with block heeled shoes. Well I couldn't help but bring you round two of block heeled beauties from net-a-porter. I've already bought a couple and let me tell you, they are the most comfortable! Plus they look really cool. They go well with wide leg trousers for the 70s vibe or with shorter length skirts for added glamour. The possibilities are endless.
How cool are the yellow Charlotte Olympia - great way to add colour to your wardrobe. The Marc Jacobs pair is very sexy, with the snake round your ankles. Animal print is timeless, great versions by Alaia and Michael Kors. Which is your favorite?

Buy of the week

This week was exciting for fashionistas worldwide with Miu Miu launching e-commerce site. So now it's easy to get your fix of quirky accessories, amazing handbags, funky clothes and much more. The sister brand of Prada is a label to go to for many when looking for something cool. I'm in love with this handbag that not only looks good but has a perfect size and is practical as you can wear it over the shoulder. Result!

Stylish homes at Selfridges

It's always good to grab a bargain. Whether you're treating yourself or your home, when you save some pounds it can only be good. That's why I was happy today when I recieved an e-mail from Selfridges announcing their home sale, just in time for my Stylish home post. Don't worry if you can't head down there as the sale is online as well. Result! From bedrom, through bathroom to home technology, there is something for everyone. I couldn't help but bring you this colourful cushion. With spring being officialy here and Easter coming up, it's the right time to update your home environment. This sale couldn't have come at a better time.

My favourite high-street shop - Zara

Hands down Zara is one of my favourite high-street shops. If not the number one! They are good at interpreting designer trends in their own way and their accessories are not to be missed. I visited recently and wanted to buy everything! It's good quality at very reasonable prices and whatever you're after you're likely to find it there. If your favourite trend for spring/summer is colour blocking, this is the place to go. The selection is second to none. Prefer more minimalistic wardrobe, full of white and neutrals? Yep they have it! You can stock up for warmer months and it won't break your bank. What's not to like? Here's few pictures from their look book. I want it all!
